- Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel tank.
- Remove the two bolts holding the fuel tank in place.
- Remove the fuel tank.
Step 2: Remove the spark plug wire
- Remove the spark plug wire with a spark plug wrench.
- Do this for all four spark plugs.
Step 3: Loosen the spark plugs
- Use a spark plug wrench to loosen the spark plugs.
- Do not remove the spark plugs completely yet.
Step 4: Clean the spark plug area
- Use a wire brush to clean the area around the spark plugs.
- This will help to remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated.
Step 5: Remove the spark plugs
- Remove the spark plugs with the spark plug wrench.
- Inspect the spark plugs for damage or wear.
- Replace the spark plugs if necessary.
Step 6: Reinstall the spark plugs
- Screw in the new spark plugs by hand.
- Tighten the spark plugs with a spark plug wrench.
Step 7: Reinstall the spark plug wires
- Reattach the spark plug wire to the spark plugs.
- Do this for all four spark plugs.
Step 8: Reinstall the fuel tank
- Reinstall the fuel tank by reversing the steps in step 1.
- Tighten the bolts holding the fuel tank in place.
- Reconnect the fuel line.
Step 9: Test the engine
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any leaks.
- If there are no leaks, the spark plugs were successfully replaced.
