Instructions:
1. Park your Lexus IS250 on a level surface.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Engage the parking brake.
4. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the oil drain plug. It is located underneath the engine, on the oil pan.
5. Place the oil drain pan below the oil drain plug.
6. Use wrench to loosen the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain into the pan.
7. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
8. Locate the oil filter. It is located at the top of the engine, near the back of the engine bay.
9. Use the wrench to loosen the oil filter and allow it to drain into the pan.
10. Remove and dispose of the old oil filter.
11. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
12. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not overtighten.
13. Use the funnel to add new oil to the engine. The recommended oil type and quantity for your vehicle can be found in your Lexus IS250's owner's manual.
14. Check the oil level using the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "F" and "H" marks on the dipstick.
15. Close the hood of your Lexus IS250.
You have successfully changed the oil in your 2008 Lexus IS250.
