1. Turn off the fuel petcock and disconnect the fuel line.
2. Remove the two 8mm bolts holding the front of the gas tank in place.
3. Remove the two 10mm bolts holding the rear of the gas tank in place.
4. Lift the gas tank up and off of the motorcycle.
5. Remove the two Phillips-head screws holding the fuel petcock in place.
6. Remove the fuel petcock.
7. Clean the gas tank and the fuel petcock.
8. Reinstall the fuel petcock and the gas tank.
9. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
10. Reconnect the fuel line and turn on the fuel petcock.
-Be careful not to spill any gasoline when removing the fuel line.
-If you are unable to remove the fuel petcock, you may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to pry it off.
-When reinstalling the gas tank, make sure that the fuel line is properly connected.
