Oil Filter Replacement for a Kawasaki Mule 610

Tools and Supplies:

* New oil filter (Kawasaki part number 16091-010)

* Oil drain pan

* Funnel

* New oil (SAE 10W-40 or SAE 20W-50, depending on temperature)

* Wrench

* Rags

Instructions:

1. Run the engine for a few minutes to warm up the oil. This will make it easier to drain.

2. Park the Mule on a level surface.

3. Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug, which is located on the bottom of the engine.

4. Loosen the oil drain plug with the wrench and allow the oil to drain into the pan.

5. Once the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug.

6. Locate the oil filter, which is mounted on the side of the engine.

7. Loosen the oil filter with the wrench and remove it.

8. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

9. Screw on the new oil filter by hand until it is snug. Do not overtighten.

10. Add new oil to the engine using the funnel. The Mule 610 requires approximately 2.5 quarts of oil.

11. Check the oil level with the dipstick. The oil level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.

12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

13. Check for any leaks from the oil drain plug or the oil filter.

Tips:

* Change the oil and oil filter on your Mule 610 every 50 hours of operation or every six months, whichever comes first.

* Use only high-quality oil that is specifically formulated for use in UTVs.

* Do not overfill the engine with oil. This can cause engine damage.

* If you have any questions about changing the oil and oil filter on your Mule 610, please consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic.
