1. Park the motorcycle on level ground and turn off the engine. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to let the oil settle down into the oil pan.
2. Locate the oil sight glass. On the Venture Royal, it's located on the right side of the engine, just below the oil filter.
3. Clean the oil sight glass with a clean cloth. This will help you to get an accurate reading of the oil level.
4. Look through the oil sight glass. The oil level should be between the "FULL" and "ADD" marks on the glass. If the oil level is low, you will need to add oil.
5. To add oil, remove the oil filler cap located on top of the engine. Add enough oil to bring the level up to the "FULL" mark on the oil sight glass.
6. Replace the oil filler cap and start the engine. Let the engine run for a few minutes, then turn it off.
7. Check the oil level again to ensure that it is still at the "FULL" mark. If the oil level is low, you may need to add more oil.
