Riding mowers smokes and then stops running?

There are several possible reasons why your riding mower might be smoking and then stopping running:

- Engine oil: Check the engine oil level. If the oil level is low, add oil to the recommended level.

- Air filter: Check the air filter. If the air filter is dirty, clean or replace it.
