How do you adjust a toro lawn mower carburetor on 6.5hp engine?

1. Start your lawnmower engine and let it warm up for about five minutes.

2. Locate the carburetor adjustment screws. On a Toro lawn mower with a 6.5 horsepower engine, the carburetor will have two adjustment screws: a high-speed adjustment screw and a low-speed adjustment screw. The high-speed adjustment screw is located on the top of the carburetor, and the low-speed adjustment screw is located on the side of the carburetor.

3. Use a screwdriver to turn the high-speed adjustment screw clockwise until the engine starts to run rough. Then, turn the screw counterclockwise until the engine runs smoothly.

4. Use a screwdriver to turn the low-speed adjustment screw clockwise until the engine starts to run rough. Then, turn the screw counterclockwise until the engine runs smoothly.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the engine is running smoothly at both high and low speeds.

6. Once the carburetor is adjusted, tighten the adjustment screws to prevent them from moving.

Here are some additional tips for adjusting a Toro lawn mower carburetor:

• Make sure that the air filter is clean. A dirty air filter can restrict airflow and cause the engine to run rich.

• Make sure that the fuel line is clear. A clogged fuel line can restrict fuel flow and cause the engine to run lean.

• Make sure that the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. A worn or fouled spark plug can cause the engine to run rough.

• If the engine is still running rough after you have adjusted the carburetor, you may need to take it to a qualified repair shop.
