Where is the Oil filter 1979 sportster?

Here are the instructions on how to change the oil and oil filter on a 1979 Harley Davidson Sportster:

Step 1: Remove the Oil Drain Plug

  1. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine.
  2. Place an oil drain pan under the plug and use the appropriate wrench to loosen and remove it.
  3. Allow all the oil to drain completely.
  4. Step 2: Replace the Oil Filter

    1. Locate the oil filter on the front of the engine.

    2. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the old filter.
    3. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.

    4. Screw on the new filter by hand until it is snug, then use the oil filter wrench to tighten it an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn.

    Step 3: Refill the Oil

    1. Put the drain plug back in and tighten it securely.
    2. Locate the oil fill port and remove the cap.
    3. Using a funnel, pour in the recommended amount of new oil.
    4. Check the oil level with the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.

Step 4: Start the Engine and Check for Leaks

    1. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
    2. Check for leaks around the oil drain plug and oil filter. If there are any leaks, tighten the drain plug or filter until the leaks stop.
