1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Drain the coolant from the engine.
3. Remove the intake manifold.
4. Remove the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the timing belt.
6. Remove the camshafts.
7. Remove the cylinder head bolts.
8. Pry the cylinder head off of the engine block.
9. Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head and the engine block.
10. Install a new cylinder head gasket.
11. Install the cylinder head bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.
12. Install the camshafts.
13. Install the timing belt.
14. Install the exhaust manifold.
15. Install the intake manifold.
16. Fill the engine with coolant.
17. Connect the battery.
Now, the cylinder head has been removed from your Alfa Romeo 156.
