- A 16mm wrench
- A 21mm wrench
- A flathead screwdriver
- A hammer
1. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the wheel that corresponds to the strut you are working on.
3. Jack up the car until the wheel is off the ground.
4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
5. Locate the strut top nut, which is located at the top of the strut assembly.
6. Use the 21mm wrench to hold the strut top nut while you use the 16mm wrench to tighten the nut.
7. If the nut is very loose, you may need to use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer to pry the nut loose.
8. Once the nut is tightened, reinstall the wheel and lug nuts.
9. Lower the car and test the strut for proper operation.
