1. Sit in the driver's seat and locate the hood release lever. It is located on the lower left side of the dashboard, just above the brake pedal.
2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood latch.
3. Get out of the car and walk to the front of the vehicle. Locate the hood latch. It is located in the center of the hood, just below the Jaguar emblem.
4. Press down on the hood latch to release it. The hood will pop up slightly.
5. Lift the hood up and prop it open with the hood prop rod. The hood prop rod is located in the engine compartment, on the driver's side of the vehicle.
