2. Locate the fuse box. It is located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the firewall.
3. Remove the cover of the fuse box.
4. Locate the fuel pump relay. It is labeled "FP" and is located in position 6.
5. Remove the fuel pump relay by gently prying it out of its socket.
6. Inspect the fuel pump relay for damage. If it is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the fuel pump relay by pressing it into its socket until it clicks into place.
8. Replace the cover of the fuse box.
9. Close the hood of your 1989 190e.
