1. Open the hood of your Jetta.
2. Locate the four Phillips head screws that secure the engine shroud to the engine. Two of the screws are located on the front of the shroud and two are located on the back.
3. Remove the four screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Gently lift the shroud off of the engine. Be careful not to touch the hot engine components.
5. With the shroud removed, you will have access to the engine. You can perform any maintenance or repairs you may need to.
6. Once you are finished working on the engine, simply replace the shroud by reversing the steps listed above.
