1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the power steering fluid reservoir. It is usually a clear plastic container with a black cap located near the front of the engine.
4. Check the fluid level in the reservoir. The fluid should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the reservoir.
5. If the fluid level is low, add some power steering fluid to the reservoir. Use only power steering fluid that is recommended by your car's manufacturer.
6. Close the hood of your car.
Here are some additional tips for checking the power steering fluid level on a 2000 323i:
- Check the fluid level regularly, especially before long trips.
- If the fluid level is low, add fluid as soon as possible.
- If the fluid level is low and you are not sure why, have your car inspected by a qualified mechanic.
- Do not overfill the reservoir, as this can cause damage to the power steering system.
