1) Locate the transmission fluid dipstick. It is usually located on the driver's side of the engine, near the back.
2) Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
3) Reinsert the dipstick and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
4) If the fluid level is low, add enough fluid to bring it up to the "full" mark.
5) Replace the dipstick.
