How do you install engine heater 2004 Saab 2.0 turbo?

Tools Needed:

- 10 mm socket

- 13 mm socket

- 15 mm socket

- Ratchet

- Extension

- Flat head screwdriver

- Pliers

- Torque wrench

- Funnel

- Measuring cup

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

Parts Needed:

- Engine heater

- Installation kit (including bolts, washers, and gaskets)

- Coolant (if necessary)

Instructions:

1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.

2. Engage the parking brake to prevent your car from rolling.

3. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.

4. Locate the engine coolant drain plug. It is usually located on the bottom of the radiator or engine block.

5. Place a drain pan under the drain plug and open it using a 13 mm socket. Allow all of the coolant to drain out.

6. Locate the engine block heater port. It is usually located on the side of the engine block near the bottom.

7. Remove the bolt from the engine block heater port using a 15 mm socket.

8. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the threads of the engine block heater. This sealant will help to prevent leaks.

9. Screw the engine block heater into the engine block heater port hand-tight.

10. Use a torque wrench to tighten the engine block heater to the specified torque.

11. Attach the engine heater wiring to the engine block heater.

12. Replace the bolt that you removed from the engine block heater port.

13. Replace the coolant that you drained out.

14. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will help to circulate the coolant and ensure that there are no leaks.

Tips:

- If you are not comfortable performing this procedure yourself, you can have it done by a qualified mechanic.

- Be careful not to overtighten the engine block heater. This could damage the block heater or the engine.

- If you are adding coolant to your car, be sure to use the type of coolant specified in your car's owner's manual.
