How do you change the oil pan on a 1995 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 5-speed?

Materials Needed:

- New oil pan gasket

- Oil pan bolts

- Oil filter wrench

- New oil filter

- Oil drain plug

- Replacement oil (5 quarts)

- Funnel

- Wrench

- Safety glasses

Procedure:

1. Park your truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Use a wrench to loosen the oil drain plug located at the bottom of your truck's oil pan, Allow all of the oil to drain into the oil pan.

3. Remove the old oil filter located near the top of the engine.

4. Remove the oil pan bolts using a wrench and remove the oil pan from your truck.

5. Clean the oil pan and the mating surfaces of the block with a rag.

6. Place a new oil pan gasket on the mating surfaces of the block.

7. Replace the oil pan and tighten the bolts.

8. Replace the oil drain plug.

9. Install a new oil filter.

10. Add 5 quarts of new oil to your truck's engine using a funnel.

11. Start your truck and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new oil.

12. Check for leaks and make sure the oil level is correct.
