1. Open the hood of your Mercedes 300D.
2. Locate the black plastic cover on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
3. Remove the cover by pressing down on the tabs and lifting it up.
4. The fuse box will be located underneath the cover.
The fuse box contains a number of fuses that protect different electrical circuits in your Mercedes. If a fuse blows, it means that too much current has flowed through the circuit and the fuse has tripped to prevent damage to the circuit.
To replace a blown fuse, simply remove the old fuse from the fuse box and insert a new fuse of the same amperage rating. Be sure to check the owner's manual for the correct amperage rating for each fuse.
