**1. Park your vehicle and allow the engine to cool down.
2. Disconnect the battery.** This is important to prevent any electrical accidents while you are working on the blower motor.
3. Locate the heater blower motor. On the Seat Ibiza 1.4, it is usually located behind the glove box. To remove it, you will need to remove the glove box.
4. Remove the glove box. Push in the tabs on either side of the glove box with your fingers and open the glove box fully. There may be a screw inside holding it in place. Remove it if so. You can then remove the glove box by pulling it towards you.
5. Pull out the faulty blower fan unit. It will likely still be connected by cables, so be careful not to break anything.
6. Disconnect the wiring from the blower fan motor. There may be a latch that needs releasing to allow the connection to be removed.
7. Separate the blower from its housing. To remove the blower fan motor, you will need to remove the 3 screws that hold the motor in place.
8. Insert the new fan motor into the housing. Secure it with the 3 screws that you removed in the previous step.
9. Connect the motor electric connector. Make sure that the connection is secure.
10. Re-install the glove box.
11. Reconnect the battery**.
12. Test the blower motor. Turn on the ignition and switch on the heater fan. The blower motor should now be working properly.
If you encounter any difficulties while changing the heater blower fan, you may want to consult a professional mechanic.
