> - Open the hood of the car.
- Locate the oil filter housing. It is a black cylindrical object located on the right-hand side of the engine.
- Use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter.
- Turn counter-clockwise until it is loose.
- Remove the oil filter and inspect it for any damage.
- Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
- Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug.
- Do not over-tighten the oil filter.
- Fill the engine with new oil.
- Check the oil level and add more oil if necessary.
