* A socket wrench set
* A pry bar
* A rubber mallet
* A helper
Step 1: Remove the four bolts that secure the hardtop to the body of the truck.
These bolts are located at the corners of the hardtop.
Step 2: Remove the two screws that secure the hardtop to the windshield frame.
These screws are located on the top of the windshield frame.
Step 3: Remove the four nuts that secure the hardtop to the tailgate.
These nuts are located on the inside of the tailgate.
Step 4: Gently pry the hardtop up and off of the body of the truck.
Be careful not to damage the paint or the weatherstripping.
Step 5: Lift the hardtop off of the truck.
You may need a helper to assist you with this.
Step 6: Place the hardtop in a safe location.
Reinstallation Tips:
* When reinstalling the hardtop, be sure to align the bolts, screws, and nuts properly.
* Hand-tighten the bolts, screws, and nuts before tightening them with a socket wrench.
* Do not over-tighten the bolts, screws, and nuts.
* Be sure to apply sealant to the weatherstripping around the hardtop to prevent leaks.
