1. Open the bonnet of your car.
2. Locate the coolant expansion tank. It's usually a white or translucent plastic tank located on the left side of the engine bay, near the firewall.
3. Follow the upper radiator hose from the expansion tank to the thermostat housing.
4. The thermostat housing is a small metal housing located on the engine block, just below the upper radiator hose connection.
5. The thermostat is located inside the thermostat housing. To access it, you'll need to remove the thermostat housing bolts and remove the housing.
6. Be careful when removing the thermostat housing, as there may be some hot coolant inside.
7. Once you've removed the thermostat housing, you can inspect the thermostat and replace it if necessary.
