_Materials:_
- New engine gasket
- Engine oil (check your owner's manual for the correct type and quantity)
- Coolant (check your owner's manual for the correct type and quantity)
- RTV silicone sealant
_Procedure:_
1. Park your RTV on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery terminals.
- Use a wrench to loosen the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
- Set the terminals aside in a safe place.
3. Drain the engine oil.
- Place an oil drain pan beneath the engine oil drain plug.
- Use a wrench to loosen the drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely.
4. Disconnect the radiator hoses.
- Use a pair of pliers to loosen the hose clamps on the radiator hoses.
- Carefully remove the hoses from the radiator.
- Allow the coolant to drain into a suitable container.
5. Remove the fuel line.
- Use a pair of pliers to loosen the hose clamp on the fuel line.
- Carefully remove the fuel line from the fuel filter.
- Cap the fuel line to prevent fuel from spilling.
6. Remove the starter motor.
- Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the starter motor in place.
- Carefully remove the starter motor and set it aside.
7. Remove the exhaust muffler.
- Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the exhaust muffler in place.
- Carefully remove the exhaust muffler and set it aside.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness from the engine.
- Use a screwdriver to disconnect the electrical connectors from the engine.
- Be careful not to damage the connectors or wiring.
9. Remove the engine mount bolts.
- Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts that hold the engine to the frame.
10. Lift the engine off the frame.
- Use an engine hoist or other suitable equipment to lift the engine off the frame.
- Be careful not to drop the engine or damage any components.
11. Clean the mating surfaces of the engine and frame.
- Use a gasket scraper to remove any old gasket material from the mating surfaces of the engine and frame.
- Make sure the surfaces are clean and dry.
12. Apply a new engine gasket.
- Apply a thin bead of RTV silicone sealant to the mating surfaces of the engine and frame.
- Place the new engine gasket on top of the sealant.
13. Lower the engine onto the frame.
- Carefully lower the engine onto the frame, aligning the gasket with the mating surfaces.
14. Install the engine mount bolts.
- Use a socket wrench to install the engine mount bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
15. Reconnect the wiring harness to the engine.
- Use a screwdriver to reconnect the electrical connectors to the engine.
- Make sure the connectors are fully engaged.
16. Install the starter motor.
- Use a socket wrench to install the starter motor.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
17. Install the exhaust muffler.
- Use a socket wrench to install the exhaust muffler.
- Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
18. Connect the fuel line.
- Use a pair of pliers to attach the fuel line to the fuel filter.
- Tighten the hose clamp to secure the fuel line.
19. Connect the radiator hoses.
- Use a pair of pliers to attach the radiator hoses to the radiator.
- Tighten the hose clamps to secure the radiator hoses.
20. Refill the engine with oil and coolant.
- Use a funnel to add the specified amount of oil and coolant to the engine.
21. Reconnect the battery terminals.
- Use a wrench to tighten the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal.
22. Start the engine and check for leaks.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any leaks from the engine, fuel lines, or coolant hoses.
Now your Kubota 1100 RTV should be ready to use!
