The cylinder head torque sequence for a Toyota 4Y forklift engine is as follows:

Step 1. Cylinder Head Bolts (First round): Tighten from the center bolts and working outward, tighten all cylinder head bolts to 29 ft-lbs (40 Nm) in the sequence indicated in diagram

(Step 1).

Step 2. Cylinder Head Bolts (Second round): In the same sequence followed in Step 1, retighten all cylinder head bolts to 43 ft-lbs (59 Nm).

Step 3. Cylinder Head Bolts (Final tightening round): Follow again the same sequenci and tighten all cylinder head bolts an additional 90 degrees.
