Those are access doors for the trailer's refrigeration unit. When a refrigerated trailer is attached to a semi truck, the truck engine provides power to operate the refrigeration unit. When the trailer is not connected to a semi, it's powered by an external power source, and in order to access that port there's a little access door on the back of the trailer.
