Why tractor is named so?
The word "tractor" comes from the Latin word "trahere", which means "to pull". This is because tractors are used to pull agricultural implements, such as ploughs, harrows, and trailers. The first tractors were steam-powered, and were developed in the early 19th century. These early tractors were used to pull ploughs, and were much more efficient than the horse-drawn ploughs that were used at the time. In the late 19th century, gasoline-powered tractors were developed, and these quickly became the most popular type of tractor. Tractors continued to be developed and improved throughout the 20th century, and today they are used for a wide variety of agricultural and industrial tasks.
