2. Locate the hydraulic fluid reservoir. The reservoir is usually located on the left or right side of the tractor, near the engine.
3. Remove the cap from the hydraulic oil fill port, or use a lever or release on the lid depending on the model. Remove the filter plug by turning it counterclockwise.
4. Clean any dirt or debris from the filter plug.
5. Insert the filter plug and tighten it by turning clockwise until snug.
6. Replace the cap on the hydraulic oil fill port.
7. Start the tractor and let it run for a few minutes. This will circulate the new hydraulic fluid throughout the system and remove any air pockets.
8. Check the hydraulic oil level. The oil should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the reservoir dipstick. If the oil level is low, add more oil.
