The IAC valve controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttle body when the engine is idling. If the IAC valve is faulty or stuck, it can cause the engine to stall when you let go of the gas pedal.
2. Vacuum Leak:
A vacuum leak can cause the engine to run lean and stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Check all the vacuum hoses and connections for leaks.
3. Dirty Throttle Body:
A dirty throttle body can restrict airflow and cause the engine to stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Clean the throttle body with a throttle body cleaner and a rag.
4. Faulty Fuel Pump:
A faulty fuel pump can cause the engine to stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Check the fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is working properly.
5. Faulty Fuel Filter:
A clogged or dirty fuel filter can restrict fuel flow and cause the engine to stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Replace the fuel filter if it is clogged or dirty.
6. Bad Spark Plugs or Wires:
Faulty spark plugs or spark plug wires can cause the engine to misfire and stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Check the spark plugs and wires and replace them if they are faulty.
7. Faulty Ignition Coil:
A faulty ignition coil can cause the engine to misfire and stall when you let go of the gas pedal. Replace the ignition coil if it is faulty.
