NOTE: The sensor location differs for SOHC and DOHC engines.
Remove the air cleaner duct attaching bolts and air cleaner duct hose clamp and reposition the air cleaner duct and duct hose away from the temperature sensor.
1. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor.
2. Using the proper size wrench, loosen the sensor and remove it.
INSTALLATION:
1. Apply sealant (Mopar gasket dressing or equivalent) to the sensor threads.
2. Install the sensor until snug, then tighten an additional 1/4-1/2 turn. Tighten the sensor to 18-22 lb-ft (25-30 N-m).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
4. Reposition the air cleaner duct/hose and air cleaner duct attaching bolts.
