1. Tighten the bolts in sequence 1 to 10 in three increment steps.
- First step: 55 Nm (41 ft-lb).
- Second step: 100 Nm (74 lb-ft).
- Third step: 120 Nm (89 lb-ft).
2. Repeat the sequence three times until the bolts are properly seated and torqued.
Caution
Overtightening the cylinder head bolts can cause bore distortion, which will result in engine failure. Do not apply more than the specified torque values.
