Changed head gasket on citroen 19 diesel but still overheats any one know What is wrong asap thanks?

1. Check the cooling system for leaks.

Look for any visible leaks around the hoses, radiator, water pump, and thermostat housing. If you find a leak, repair it and refill the cooling system with coolant.

2. Check the thermostat.

The thermostat is a valve that regulates the flow of coolant through the engine. If the thermostat is stuck closed, it will prevent the coolant from circulating and cause the engine to overheat. To test the thermostat, remove it from the engine and place it in a pot of boiling water. If the thermostat opens, it is still working properly. If it does not open, replace it.

3. Check the water pump.

The water pump circulates the coolant through the engine. If the water pump is not working properly, it will not be able to circulate the coolant and cause the engine to overheat. To test the water pump, start the engine and feel the upper radiator hose. If the hose is hot, the water pump is working properly. If the hose is cold, the water pump is not working properly and needs to be replaced.

4. Check the radiator.

The radiator is a heat exchanger that cools the coolant. If the radiator is clogged or damaged, it will not be able to cool the coolant and cause the engine to overheat. To test the radiator, look at the fins on the radiator. If the fins are bent or damaged, the radiator is clogged and needs to be replaced.

5. Check the fan.

The fan helps to draw air through the radiator and cool the coolant. If the fan is not working properly, it will not be able to draw air through the radiator and cause the engine to overheat. To test the fan, turn on the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. The fan should come on and stay on until the engine cools down. If the fan does not come on, it is not working properly and needs to be replaced.
