How do you remove fuel sending unit jeep?

Tools and materials needed:

* Safety glasses

* Gloves

* Phillips-head screwdriver

* Flat-head screwdriver

* Pliers

* 5/16-inch wrench

* 1/2-inch wrench

* 1-gallon gas can

* Funnel

* New fuel sending unit

Instructions:

1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.

2. Relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel cap.

3. Locate the fuel sending unit. It is usually located under the rear seat or in the trunk.

4. Remove the access cover to the fuel sending unit.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector to the fuel sending unit.

6. Use a 5/16-inch wrench to loosen the fuel line fitting at the fuel sending unit.

7. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the fuel line retainer clip and remove the fuel line.

8. Use a 1/2-inch wrench to loosen the lock ring that holds the fuel sending unit in place.

9. Remove the lock ring and the fuel sending unit from the tank.

10. Clean the tank and the fuel sending unit before installing the new fuel sending unit.

11. Reverse the steps to install the new fuel sending unit.

12. Start the engine and check for leaks.
