How do you adjust the idle RPM on 87 dodge raider?

Adjusting the idle RPM on an 87 Dodge Raider

1. Start your engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.

2. Locate the idle speed adjustment screw. On the 87 Dodge Raider, it is located on the throttle body.

3. Turn the idle speed adjustment screw clockwise to increase the idle speed, and counterclockwise to decrease it.

4. Use a tachometer to monitor the engine's idle speed as you make adjustments.

5. The ideal idle speed for the 87 Dodge Raider is between 750 and 800 RPM.

6. Once you have set the idle speed to the desired level, tighten the lock nut on the idle speed adjustment screw to prevent it from moving.

Note:

If the idle speed is too low, the engine may stall. If the idle speed is too high, the engine may run rough and waste gas.
