The cylinder head torque settings and sequence for a 1967 Chevy 230 are as follows:

Torque:

* First: 65-75 ft-lbs

* Second: 75-90 ft-lbs

Sequence:

1. Tighten #1 cylinder first, then work your way outward in both directions.

2. Tighten #4 cylinder, then #8, then #5, then #2, then #3, and finally #7.

3. Repeat the sequence a second time, this time tightening the bolts an additional 5-10 ft-lbs.

Note: Be sure to use a quality cylinder head gasket and ARP head bolts or studs.
