Are V6 mustang engines the same engine as any other ford engine?

The Ford Mustang has never had a V6 engine.

The Mustang has had a variety of V8 engines over the years, including the Ford 302, 351 Windsor, and 428 Cobra Jet. The Mustang also had a V6 engine from 1979 to 2004, the Ford Essex 3.8 liter V6. This engine was also used in the Ford Taurus, Mercury Sable, and Lincoln Continental.
