The modulator is a device that helps to control the automatic transmission shift points. It is located on the side of the transmission and is connected to the transmission fluid pressure line. To remove the modulator, follow these steps:
1.Disconnect the transmission fluid pressure line from the modulator.
2.Unscrew the modulator mounting bolts.
3.Remove the modulator from the transmission.
When installing a new modulator, be sure to tighten the mounting bolts to the proper torque specifications.
