To do this, loosen the negative terminal nut with a wrench and remove the cable from the terminal.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
To do this, loosen the tensioner pulley bolt with a wrench and remove the belt from the pulley.
3. Remove the alternator mounting bolts.
There are two bolts that hold the alternator in place. Loosen these bolts with a wrench and remove them from the alternator.
4. Disconnect the alternator electrical connector.
To do this, simply unplug the connector from the alternator.
5. Remove the alternator from the vehicle.
Once the alternator is disconnected, you can simply lift it out of the vehicle.
6. Install the new alternator in reverse order of removal.
Be sure to tighten the alternator mounting bolts securely and reconnect the electrical connector.
7. Reconnect the battery.
Once the alternator is installed, you can reconnect the battery cable to the negative terminal.
