1. Park the Ramcharger on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Chock the rear wheels to prevent the Ramcharger from rolling.
3. Raise the front of the Ramcharger with a jack and support it with jack stands.
4. Remove the front wheels.
5. Disconnect the brake line from the caliper and plug the line to prevent fluid loss.
6. Remove the caliper and hang it out of the way with a piece of wire.
7. Remove the cotter pin from the castle nut on the axle shaft.
8. Loosen the castle nut, but do not remove it completely.
9. Pry the axle shaft out of the differential using a pry bar.
10. Remove the castle nut and washer.
11. Pull the axle shaft out of the wheel hub.
To reinstall the axle shaft, follow these steps in reverse order. When reinstalling the axle shaft, be sure to tighten the castle nut to the proper torque specification.
