The Rolls-Royce/Snecma Olympus 593 turbojet engines were used on the Concorde. The Concorde was the world's first commercial supersonic passenger aircraft. It was jointly developed by the United Kingdom and France and was flown for 27 years, from 1976 to 2003. Each of the Concorde's four Olympus engines produced 169 kN (38,000 lbf) of thrust.
