The 2008 Ford F-150 can use one of three types of fuel: regular unleaded gasoline, E85 (a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline), or diesel. The type of fuel that a particular F-150 uses depends on the engine that it is equipped with.
- The 4.6-liter V8 engine and the 5.4-liter V8 engine both use regular unleaded gasoline.
- The 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine can use either regular unleaded gasoline or E85.
- The 6.2-liter V8 engine uses diesel fuel.
