Alternative for a cut off tool 310-133 I am trying to change the fuel pump on 99 contour it states need this but know one has so how without tool.?

There are a few alternative methods you can try to remove the fuel pump on your 1999 Contour without the 310-133 cut-off tool:

1. Dremel Tool:

- Use a Dremel tool equipped with a cutting disc to carefully cut through the metal fuel line.

- Ensure you wear safety glasses and take precautions to avoid sparks near fuel sources.

2. Hacksaw:

- Use a hacksaw to cut through the metal fuel line.

- Be cautious not to apply too much pressure, as it may cause the line to kink or deform.

3. Metal Snips:

- If the fuel line is made of thin metal, you may be able to cut it using heavy-duty metal snips.

- Make gradual cuts and be careful not to crush or damage the line.

4. Compression Fitting:

- Instead of cutting the fuel line, you can use a compression fitting to connect the new fuel pump.

- This involves slipping a compression sleeve over the end of the fuel line and tightening a nut or collar to create a seal.

5. Visit a Mechanic:

- If you're uncomfortable attempting any of these methods or don't have the necessary tools, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for assistance.

Remember to follow all safety precautions when working near fuel lines and ensure that the vehicle is in a well-ventilated area. Also, refer to your vehicle's specific repair manual for additional instructions and safety guidelines related to fuel system maintenance.
