- Spark plugs: Check the spark plugs to make sure they are clean and properly gapped. If the spark plugs are worn or damaged, they can cause the engine to run rough.
- Fuel filter: Check the fuel filter to make sure it is not clogged. A clogged fuel filter can restrict fuel flow and cause the engine to run lean, which can cause it to run rough.
- Air filter: Check the air filter to make sure it is not clogged. A clogged air filter can restrict air flow and cause the engine to run rich, which can also cause it to run rough.
- O2 sensor: Check the oxygen sensor to make sure it is working properly. A faulty oxygen sensor can cause the engine to run rich or lean, which can cause it to run rough.
- Vacuum leaks: Check for any vacuum leaks in the intake system. A vacuum leak can cause the engine to run lean, which can cause it to run rough.
- Compression: Check the compression in each cylinder to make sure it is within specifications. If the compression is too low in one or more cylinders, it can cause the engine to run rough.
If you have checked all of these things and your Stealth RT is still running rough, you should take it to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
