The brake lights on a 1995 Altima may stay on if the brake fluid level is low so if your brake lights are on continuously first check the brake fluid reservoir. It is located towards the rear of the engine bay on the driver's side, next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir. The cap of the reservoir has a "min" and "max" line. The fluid level should be between those two marks.
If the brake fluid level is good but the brake lights are still on, the brake light switch may be faulty and need to be replaced.
