How do you shift to 4 wheel drive on a 1998 GMC Jimmy?

To shift to four-wheel drive in a 1998 GMC Jimmy, follow these steps:

1. Start the engine.

2. Stop the vehicle completely.

3. Place the transfer case in neutral. To do this, move the transfer case selector lever to the "N" position.

4. Press the four-wheel drive button. The button is located on the center console.

5. Wait for the transfer case to engage. You will hear a clunking sound when the transfer case engages.

6. Drive away. Your vehicle is now in four-wheel drive.

Note: If you are shifting into four-wheel drive on a slippery surface, be sure to do so slowly and gently to avoid losing traction.

To shift back into two-wheel drive, simply follow the steps above in reverse order.
