Tools and Materials Needed:
- New headlight bulb (make sure it's the correct size and type for your vehicle)
- Socket wrench set
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flashlight (if necessary)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the headlight assembly that needs the new bulb.
4. Remove the plastic cover over the back of the headlight. This is usually held in place by a few screws or plastic tabs.
5. Locate the old headlight bulb. It will be held in place by a metal clip or bracket.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the old bulb by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight off the bulb.
7. Remove the old bulb by turning it counterclockwise. Be careful not to drop the bulb.
8. Insert the new bulb into the socket. Turn it clockwise until it's secure.
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the new bulb.
10. Replace the plastic cover over the back of the headlight.
11. Close the hood of your car.
