How do you depressurize the fuel system on a 1996 Dodge Ram?

To depressurize the fuel system on a 1996 Dodge Ram, follow these steps:

1. Locate the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) on the fuel rail. The FPR is usually located on the passenger side of the engine, near the front.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the FPR.

3. Use a flat-head screwdriver to carefully pry open the Schrader valve on the FPR.

4. Allow the fuel to drain into a suitable container.

5. Once the fuel has stopped flowing, reconnect the vacuum hose to the FPR.

6. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will help to circulate the fresh fuel through the system and purge any remaining air bubbles.

Note: Be sure to wear eye protection when depressurizing the fuel system, as fuel may spray out under pressure.
