Instructions
1. Release the hood latch release lever on the driver's footwell.
2. Turn off the engine and leave the key in the IGNITION position. If you turned the car off and pulled out the key, place it back in the ignition and turn to the IGNITION position. This needs to be done for the electronic hood release to function properly.
3. With a flashlight, find a plastic access cover on the left front inner fender. It will be located towards the front of the vehicle, near the radiator support.
4. Remove the access cover with a flat head screwdriver and locate the black plastic hood release lever inside the hole.
5. Reach in with your fingers, grasp the hood release lever, and pull on it while simultaneously raising the hood. The hood latch should release and the hood will pop open.
6. Lift hood until it stops and secure the hood with the prop rod.
