* 3/8-inch drive ratchet
* 3/8-inch drive extension
* Oil drain pan
* Funnel
* New oil filter
* New oil (5 quarts)
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Let the engine cool down completely.
3. Remove the oil drain plug and let the oil drain into an oil drain pan.
4. Once the oil has drained, replace the oil drain plug.
5. Remove the engine oil filter.
6. Apply a thin film of new oil to the new oil filter gasket.
7. Install the new oil filter and tighten it by hand.
8. Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and place it on jack stands.
9. Locate the oil pan bolts and remove them with a 10mm socket.
10. Remove the oil pan gasket.
11. Clean the oil pan and gasket surface on the engine block.
12. Apply a thin film of new oil to the new oil pan gasket.
13. Install the new oil pan gasket and tighten the oil pan bolts in a criss-cross pattern with a 13mm socket.
14. Lower the vehicle from the jack stands.
15. Connect the negative battery cable.
16. Add 5 quarts of new oil to the engine through the oil fill cap.
17. Check the oil level and add more if necessary.
18. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
19. Check for oil leaks.
