- The trim panel is the plastic piece that covers the inside of the liftgate.
2. Gently pry the trim panel off using a flathead screwdriver.
- Start at one corner and work your way around the panel until you can remove it.
3. Locate the third brake light assembly.
- It is located at the top of the liftgate, behind the trim panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the third brake light assembly.
5. Remove the two bolts that secure the third brake light assembly to the liftgate.
- Use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts.
6. Lift the third brake light assembly out of the liftgate.
7. Install the new third brake light assembly.
- Reverse the steps above.
8. Test the new third brake light assembly to make sure it works.
