Ensure that the engine is cool and the vehicle is parked on level ground.
Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
Open the hood and locate the belt tensioner. The tensioner is usually located on the front of the engine near the top.
Use a socket and ratchet to loosen the tensioner pulley bolt.
Once the pulley bolt is loose, rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise until the tension is released.
Remove the old serpentine belt from around the pulleys.
Install the new belt around the pulleys, starting at the crankshaft pulley and working your way around.
Rotate the tensioner pulley counterclockwise until the tension is tight.
Tighten the tensioner pulley bolt.
Check the serpentine belt for proper tension. The belt should be snug, but not too tight.
Close the hood and start the engine.
Listen for any unusual noises coming from the engine. If you hear any noises, stop the engine and check the belt tension.
Adjust the belt tension if necessary.
Test drive the vehicle to make sure that the serpentine belt is working properly.
